So I started a real weight loss journey last week! Talk about goals, it feels like August is the new January! Anyway, a year and a half ago I discovered I became allergic to dairy products after my fourth and final pregnancy :-(
So I began a lifestyle change I not only never thought I would do but I quite often mocked others for. A dairy free diet. So when I began this I started losing weight! I lost fifteen pounds total going from 200lbs to 185lbs! I'm 5'10" just so you have an idea of how big I am. So I decided to go vegan for a month and realized I felt really clean! My body was clean on the inside! I loved the feeling and not only that i had lost and extra fifteen pounds in only a month!! Unfortunately it was cold season and I caught a bad one, my hubby made chicken soup from scratch and there was no way I was gonna turn that down. But it ruined my diet! I had to have meat after that, hahaha.
Now I'm giving it another shot, starting two weeks ago I already lost four pounds!
I'm telling you this because intermittently I will be mentioning my progress.
I have also started a little workout routine using my Wii fit! I have always wanted to tell people that I lost weight playing video games and now I can!! Ha!
This morning my cute kiddos ran off to the peach tree in our apartment complex and saw a few ripe looking ones so I have the tree a shake and a bunch fell down!! I love nature! Peach trees alone are enough proof that God loves us
We didn't do much today except drop our new car off to be serviced and go to walmart and grocery shopped much to Shane's chagrin. He hates shopping. He's more whiney than the kids! Hello, man, that makes the shopping trip worse for everyone including you! Ya big baby!
I got a bunch of ingredients and made my first recipe from the native foods cafe cookbook!! Stacked enchiladas! They were soooo good and everything was from scratch! I should have taken a photo but I was starved! It gave me some pretty fierce gas though... I think it was the tofu! I will probably have to steer clear of soy products, I might be allergic to them too :-(
My neighbor tells me I shouldn't be averted from eating any types of foods but I feel it's my body's way of cleansing itself from unnecessary toxins. I listen to my body when it tells me not to intake certain things and I feel cleaner, healthier, happier.
Speaking of happy, I found these wedding photos from a dear friends wedding last November and I love them!
Also my sweet baby niece turned four weeks old today!
So much love! Did I mention I have diagnosed myself with ADD?! Hahaha
Peace love and health!
